UMAR SADIQ TO START FOR SUPER EAGLES AGAINST GUINEA-BISSAU

There are reports that Interim head coach of the Super Eagles AUSTINE EGUAVOEN has opted for ALMERIA of Spain forward UMAR SADIQ to lead Nigeria’s attack in tonight’s Group D clash against GUINEA-BISSAU.
SADIQ who has come in as a substitute in the last two games got the nod ahead of TAIWO AWONIYI and PETER OLAYINKA, while FRANCIS UZOHO will make his first appearance in the competition with first choice goalkeeper MADUKA OKOYE rested.
The duo of TYRONNE EBUEHI and JAMILU COLLINS will also feature for the first time, while SEMI AJAYI will pair WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG in central defence.
LEICESTER CITY duo of WILFRED NDIDI and KELECHI IHEANACHO kept their place in midfield, KELECHI NWAKALI makes his first start while ALEX IWOBI and CHIDERA EJUKE will pair SADIQ upfront.
