United States  president DONALD TRUMP, has agreed to cancel the livestreaming of the execution of Army Major, NIDAL HASAN,  who was convicted of killing 13 people in a 2009 shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.

President TRUMP announced his decision in a post on his Truth Social platform noting that HASAN would still be executed by firing squad as scheduled on December 3, 2026, however the live broadcast will not hold.

President TRUMP’s decision comes after considering the views of citizens and high-ranking officials who opposed broadcasting the killing publicly,

Recall that HASAN was sentenced to death after opening fire on fellow soldiers which killed 13 people and injured 32 others, on November 5, 2009.
