Senior Advocate of Nigeria, FEMI FALANA, has called for greater transparency in the management of the additional revenue available to governments following the removal of fuel subsidy.
During an interview, FALANA said Nigerians deserved to know how the increased funds were being utilised, particularly as households continue to face rising living costs, questioning the justification for the economic difficulties if there were no corresponding improvements in public services and infrastructure.
He further argued that increased earnings from crude oil, as well as funds previously allocated to petrol imports, should have created more financial room for the government to address pressing challenges.
