EBONYI STATE GOVERNMENT PLANS TO ENROLL 200,000 RESIDENTS INTO HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME.

Ebonyi State Government says it will enroll an additional 200,000 residents into the state health insurance scheme as part of efforts to expand access to healthcare services.

Governor FRANCIS NWIFURU disclosed this when he received the National Executive Committee of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, MDCAN, led by its President, APPOLOS NDUKUBA, at his office.

NWIFURU said his administration remains committed to improving the welfare of medical doctors, healthcare workers and other medical personnel employed by the state.

In addition, the governor noted that the government had increased medical worker’s salaries, revitalised general hospitals and recruited doctors, health attendants and other allied health professionals
