FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES ONE BILLION DOLLAR HOPE PROGRAMME TO EMPOWER VULNERABLE NIGERIANS

The Federal Government has launched a one billion dollar social protection programme aimed at helping vulnerable Nigerians move from temporary assistance to sustainable economic independence.

The Household Prosperity and Empowerment Social Protection Project, HOPE-SP, was launched yesterday at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja by Nigeria First Lady, OLUREMI TINUBU.

Speaking at the event, the First Lady said the programme would provide support aimed at improving the livelihoods of vulnerable individuals, families and communities across the country.

Four other initiatives were also unveiled alongside the HOPE-SP,  including  the One-Humanitarian-One Poverty Response System, Emergency Cash Transfer Programme, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Ministerial Blueprint, and the Humanity First Magazine.
