CAF SETS DATES FOR 2027 AFCON, SUPER CUP, AND MAJOR COMPETITIONS

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has confirmed the dates and host countries for several major competitions on its 2026-27 calendar, offering a clearer schedule for national teams, clubs, players, broadcasters and supporters.

In a statement issued today, the continental football governing body announced that the CAF Africa Cup of Nations, to be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, will take place from June 19 to July 17, 2027.

It also disclosed that qualifying competition for the tournament is scheduled to commence in September 2026.

CAF said the revised calendar is aimed at making its competitions more stable and predictable.
