SUPER FALCONS THRASH EGYPT 6-2 TO REACH WAFCON QUARTER-FINAL

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after thrashing Egypt 6-2 in a dominant display.

The nine-time African champions took control of the match with goals from ASISAT OSHOALA, GIFT MONDAY, UCHENNA KANU, CHIDINMA UCHEIBE, RASHEEDAT AJIBADE and JOY OMEWA, while N. GHAZY scored twice for Egypt.

The convincing victory secured Nigeria’s place in the knockout stage as they continue their pursuit of another continental title.

The Super Falcons will now face Cameroon, winners of Group D, in the quarter-finals.
