FRENCH AMBASSADOR MACRON TO LEAD HIGH-LEVEL STATE VISIT TO NIGERIA

French Ambassador to Nigeria MARC FONBAUSTIER has announced that French President EMMANUEL MACRON will embark on a State visit to Nigeria, describing the trip as an opportunity for both countries to review their expanding strategic partnership and define a new direction for future cooperation.

FONBAUSTIER made the announcement while speaking at the celebration of France’s National Day in Abuja, where he described the planned visit as a major development, noting that it would take place two years after President BOLA TINUBU’S State visit to Paris.

The envoy said the relationship between Nigeria and France is built on equality, stressing that both nations regard each other as partners of equals.

FONBAUSTIER stated that Nigeria and France share common objectives of economic and social development, job creation and environmental protection.

He also highlighted recent commercial partnerships involving the countries and commended the initiative led by ABDUL RABIU to establish a House of African Worlds in Paris.
