Nigerian quarter-miler EZEKIEL NATHANIEL continued his strong season form by winning the men’s 400 metres at the ATX Classic in Austin, Texas, recording a time of 45.49 seconds to narrowly defeat American duo NOAH WILLIAMS and RANDOLPH ROSS in a tightly contested race.
The win adds to NATHANIEL’s impressive start to the 2026 outdoor season, which opened with a dramatic victory at the Lone Star Grand Prix, where he ran 47.37 seconds in the 400 metres hurdles.
In that race, American athlete TREVOR BASSITT also recorded the same time, but Nathaniel was declared the winner after a photo-finish review.
The consecutive victories have strengthened the Nigerian athlete’s growing reputation as one of the world’s leading one-lap specialists, with his performances in both the 400 metres flat and hurdles attracting increasing attention ahead of a packed international schedule.
