The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has re-arraigned social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist, OKORO BLESSING, popularly known as Blessing CEO, over an alleged N69.1 million fraud.

The defendant was brought before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, yesterday, where she faced a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

The EFCC said the charges involve an alleged sum of N69,150,000, which the anti-graft agency claims was fraudulently obtained.

At the start of the proceedings, prosecution counsel, C.C. OKEZIE, urged the court to proceed with the arraignment, arguing that the defendant had been properly served with the charge sheet and was fully aware of the allegations against her, but counsel to the defendant, NKAMA NNEKA, informed the court that service of the charge had only recently been effected and raised concerns regarding the timing of the process.

After listening to submissions from both parties, Justice OSHODI ruled that the arraignment should proceed in line with legal provisions.
