Nigerian comedian and social commentator, I Go Save has criticised Nigeria’s first ladies, over what he described as their silence concerning the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oyo State.
In a series of posts shared on his Instagram page, the comedian expressed disappointment that prominent female figures in government had not publicly addressed the incident, which has sparked outrage and concern across the country.
I Go Save questioned the absence of statements or visible advocacy from the first ladies, arguing that the plight of the kidnapped children and teachers should have attracted stronger reactions and interventions.
The entertainer challenged what he described as a lack of empathy from leaders expected to champion the welfare of women and children, asking why they had remained silent while families of the victims continue to endure uncertainty and distress.
According to him, the incident goes beyond politics and should be viewed as a humanitarian issue requiring urgent attention and collective action.
