The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the waiver of screening requirements for President BOLA TINUBU ahead of the party’s presidential primary election.

In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, FELIX MORKA, he said the decision was reached during the APC NWC’s 188th meeting held yesterday, where the committee stated that the President would be regarded as duly screened in line with the party’s constitution for participation in the forthcoming primary election.

He noted that NWC based its decision on the widespread endorsement and vote of confidence already extended to the President by key organs and stakeholders of the ruling party, including; the Progressive Governors Forum, members and leadership of the National Assembly, as well as other party stakeholders during the APC National Summit held on May 22, 2025, and at other statutory meetings of the party.

The statement further explained that the President had already undergone screening and clearance ahead of the APC presidential primaries in 2022, making another appearance before a screening committee unnecessary.
