Nigerian singer, BNXN has criticized American rapper, FAT JOE over remarks suggesting that Afrobeats originated from Jamaica.
The controversy followed comments made by FAT JOE during a recent podcast, where he also claimed that BNXN was forced to change his former stage name, BUJU, due to similarities with Jamaican dancehall artist BUJU BANTON.
Responding on his, BNXN dismissed the claims and urged the rapper to better educate himself about African music and its origins.
The singer also took a swipe at Fat Joe, accusing him of spreading misinformation and expressing what he described as hostility toward African music and its artists.
