The Headquarters of the 82 Division, Nigerian Army, has applauded Onitsha Main Market traders for their bold decision to reopen their businesses after years of yielding to threats from enemies of the nation.

The military made the commendation in a statement by its Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, OLABISI AYENI, stating that the decisive action represents a collective stand for peace, security, and economic progress in Anambra State and the South-East region at large.

AYENI noted that the traders’ renewed courage further validates the significant strides made by security agencies, adding that resuming their lawful business activities demonstrates resilience and an unwavering commitment to peace and progress.

The Division further assures all stakeholders that the market, and all economic centers across the region will be adequately protected through all necessary measures, reiterating its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property of all citizens.
