A member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), EME OKORO, has reaffirmed that former Senate President ADOLPHUS WABARA remains the recognised chairman of the PDP BoT.

OKORO rejected the reported appointment of former Senator representing Abia North, MAO OHUABUNWA, as the new BoT chairman, describing the move as an act of impunity and a violation of the party’s constitution.

He also condemned the alleged inauguration of a new BoT chairman in the private residence of a party member, insisting that such action was illegal and contrary to the PDP’s internal procedures.

Reacting to reports of WABARA’S removal, the former Secretary to the Abia State Government urged aggrieved members to seek alternative political platforms rather than attempting to destabilize the party that brought them to prominence.

OKORO further dismissed reports of the alleged replacement of PDP Acting National Chairman UMAR DAMAGUN and criticised the purported involvement of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, NYESOM WIKE, in the crisis affecting the party.
