The National Orientation Agency (NOA) says it has recorded progress in the war against insecurity due to communication, citizen support, and the courage of security forces.

The Director-General of the agency LANRE ISSA-ONILU who recently made this known at Abuja said NOA’s intensified communication campaign has reached an estimated 32 million citizens in three months.

He said the campaign’s impact is evident, with major suspect arrests increasing by 33% and rescue of abducted victims growing from 19 to 27, while fatalities in violent crimes dropped by 12%.

According to him, misinformation is a significant threat, hence NOA’s focus on pushing verified information and strengthening public vigilance to prevent endangering lives.

He added that the security agencies recorded seven cross-border interventions, up from four, and seized multiple arms caches in the North-West and South-East, indicating improved intelligence coordination.
