KING CHARLES  SET TO HOST FRENCH PRESIDENT

Britain’s King Charles is set to welcome French President Emmanuel Macron to Windsor Castle a visit aimed at celebrating the renewal of closer political ties between the two countries.

The last state visit to Britain by a French president was in 2008, when Nicolas Sarkozy was hosted by the late Queen Elizabeth.

Talks during this visit will focus on a range of issues, including tackling people-smuggling , strengthening economic and defence cooperation.
