There seems to be a looming crisis in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, as the Governor of Borno State, BABAGANA ZULUM, yesterday, led a protest after the party’s leaders endorsed President BOLA TINUBU for reelection without including Vice President KASHIM SHETTIMA.

It all started when the APC National Chairman, ABDULLAHI GANDUJE, and National Vice Chairman (North-East), MUSTAPHA SALIHU, at a North-East stakeholders meeting in Gombe, endorsed TINUBU for a second term without acknowledging SHETTIMA.

GANDUJE and SALIHU had to be escorted out of the venue under heavy security as delegates protested over their failure to endorse SHETTIMA.

Recall that Last month, GANDUJE, at the party’s national summit in Abuja, announced TINUBU as the sole presidential candidate in 2027.
