PRESIDENCY REACTS TO EL-RUFAI’S DEFECTION TO SDP

The Presidency has reacted to the defection of the former governor of Kaduna State,NASIR EL-RUFAI, from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Social Democratic Party, SDP, describing it as an inordinate ambition that is destined to fail.

EL-RUFAI, a founding member of the ruling party, announced his defection in a statement issued yesterday amid speculation about his presidential ambition.

Reacting, President BOLA TINUBU’S Special Adviser on Media and Policy, DANIEL BWALA, wrote in a post on his official X handle, saying that the MOTIVE for EL-RUFAI’S  defection will be interrogated in the coming days.

The presidential aide, however, stated that he had nothing against the former governor, as he had merely exercised his “constitutional right.”
