Nigeria’s Flying Eagles yesterday defeated their hosts, Côte d’Ivoire, 2-0 in a friendly at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Abidjan.

The visitors were awarded a penalty around the hour mark after DIVINE OLISEH was brought down inside the box and Captain DANIEL BAMEIYI calmly converted the spot kick to give the Flying Eagles the lead.

Barely 10 minutes from time, OLISEH added the second goal.

Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire will face each other again at the same venue on Friday as both teams continue their preparations for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
