ASAKE’S ‘WORK OF ART’ EARNS TOP SPOT AS BEST NIGERIAN ALBUM OF 2023

Asake’s musical prowess has garnered international recognition, with his second studio album, “Work Of Art,” being acclaimed as the best Nigerian album of 2023 by reputable entertainment news agencies. The album, comprising 14 tracks, was released on June 16, 2023, establishing Asake as a prominent figure in the afrobeats genre.

Rolling Stone, a well-known entertainment news agency, ranked “Work Of Art” as the best Nigerian album of the year 2023. Additionally, the album secured the second position in the overall ranking of the best African albums of 2023, with Amaarae’s “Fountain Baby” taking the top spot.

The global recognition extended to other media outlets, with The New York Times’ Jon Caramanica also naming Asake’s album as the best release of 2023. The album’s impact is further highlighted by its inclusion i  n the top 100 albums of the year alongside notable artists such as Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, and Adekunle Gold.
