The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Enugu State, Chukwuemeka Chukwu has urged registered voters in Enugu State to go to their various polling units designated by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and collect their Permanent Voter Cards PVCs, to enable them to vote in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
Chukwu who made this call while briefing stakeholders and journalists on the official flag-off of the collection of Permanent Voters Card PVCs, which commenced nationwide yesterday revealed that over 100,000 Permanent Voter Cards PVCs, are yet to be collected in Enugu State.
Speaking Chukwu said that the meeting with stakeholders was to inform them of the commencement of the exercise and for them to sensitize the voters on the need to collect their PVCs, assuring that the 2023 election is going to be different from previous polls because the Bimodal Verification Accreditation System BVAS would be used.
Urban Radio Correspondent, Emeka Chibuoke said it was the consensus of participants at the stakeholder’s engagement that INEC took the distribution of the PVCs to the remotest part of the State to ensure seamless distribution of the cards.
