The Federal Government has disbursed 64.8 million naira to private sector partners to execute Nigeria Electrification Project, NEP.
In a statement issued to newsmen by Rural Electrification Agency, REA, it revealed that the NEP programme, funded by a $350 million dollars from World Bank loan and 200 million loan dollars from the African Development Bank, AFDB, have provided electricity to millions of Nigerians.
REA Managing Director, Ahmad Salihijo said that the programme provides off-grid reliable, clean electricity supply to 705,000 households, 90,000 micro, small and medium enterprises, 100 isolation and treatment centers and 400 primary healthcare centers in unserved and underserved areas of the country.
