Enugu State NUJ Lauds Governor Ugwuanyi Over Renovation of Building.

The Commissioner for Works in Enugu State, Greg Nnaji says there has never been any government intervention from the past administration towards building the dilapidated structure of the Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ, Enugu Chapter, but the current government under the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi saw the need to rebuild it.

Greg who represented the Governor of the state at the official handover ceremony of the renovated building, at the Press Center yesterday, lauded Ugwuanyi for his prompt involvement in coming to the aid of Enugu Journalists and for the propagation of good governance.

In his response, the Chairman of NUJ, Sam Udekwe, who received the keys to the house, appreciated the kind gesture of the Governor stating that Enugu State Journalists are happy for his unwavering support and the enabling environment.

Urban Radio Correspondent, Ifeyinwa Ogbue, who witnessed the handover ceremony, said the event has in attendance Enugu State Journalists, adding that NUJ Press Week which kicked off with a church thanksgiving, continues this week.
