Governor’s Plan 24-Hour Patrol in The Southeast

The South East Governors Forum SEGF yesterday at the Enugu State Government House, debunked the news making rounds that they formed a security outfit Eastern Security Network ESN, reiterating that the security outfit they credited is Ebubeagu and Forest Guard.

The Governor of Ebonyi State and the chairman of South East Governors Forum, David Umahi who read the communique after the emergency Southeast Governor’s Forum meeting, told newsmen that they agreed to set up a 24-hour Joint Patrol in all major highways within the South East.

While commending the State and Federal Government on the efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the flood victims, southeast governors decided to engage in joint work to fund the victims in the 5 Eastern States.

With respect to the court rulings on the case of the leader of the Proscribe Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, the South East Governors said that they are certain of the possibility of a political solution.

Urban radio correspondent Ifeyinwa Ogbue who was present at the meeting said Umahi officially welcomed the Governor of Anambra state Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy Onyekachukwu G Ibezim to the forum and apologized on behalf of the governors of Imo and Anambra, who was busy preparing to host the president today while the later had an economic emergency outside the country.
