Group Call for The Release of Labor Party Senatorial Candidate in Ebonyi State.

A non-political organization under the aegis of Worried Nigeria Citizens WNC, yesterday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency in Ebonyi State over the continued harassment of opposition parties.

The group in a statement signed by its National President, Moses Idika called for the intervention of the President to ensure the immediate release of the Senatorial Candidate for Labor Party for Ebonyi South District, Linus Okorie, from the Abakaliki correctional center, to enable him to go about his electioneering campaigns.

They demanded that security agencies in Ebonyi State should ensure that nothing happens to him and as a matter of urgency urge Buhari to call the Governor of the State David Umahi to order to forestall the breakdown of law and order in Ebonyi State.
