The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the provision of quality education at all levels in the State.
Ugwuanyi who was represented by the Commissioner for Rural Development Kingsley Udeh gave the assurance at the investiture of Professorship on three eminent Nigerians by the American University Curacao, held at its Enugu Centre.
Udeh stated that the establishment of the Enugu State University of Medical and Applied Sciences, Igboano was a clear demonstration that the Governor believes it is key to human development; adding that the Enugu State Government would continue to partner with America University for the overall development of the State.
In their separate speeches, the President of Central Washington College Enugu Professor Uchenna Akubue, and Professor Michael Sunday Kukpolati described the investiture as historic and symbolic adding that it was the painstaking and enriching research and academic publications that made the three recipients be chosen out of hundreds of the students for the professorship investiture by the international prestigious University of America.
The former Accountant General of Enugu State and one of the recipients, Professor Paschal Okolie, who was invested as a Professor of Public Finance and Accounts shared his feelings concerning the achievement.
Urban Radio Correspondent, Emeka Chibuoke said other recipients of the professorial investiture, were Vitalis Onah Chukwuma as Professor of Forensic Accounting, and Oladoyin Awoyale as Professor of Law at the University of America Curacao.
