AGF Abubakar Malami Says IPOB Leader Kanu Not Acquitted

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has reacted to the decision of the Appeal Court to discharge leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, saying the IPOB leader has only been discharged but not acquitted.

Malami who stated this in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Umar Gwandu, said the decision handed down by the court of appeal was on a single issues that borders on interpretation, making it clear to the general public that other issues on the basis of which Kanu jumped bail remained valid issues for judicial determination.

He added that the appropriate legal options before the authorities will be exploited and communicated accordingly to the public.
