Wolves manager, Bruno Lage was sacked yesterday after his club plunged into the Premier League relegation zone 24 hours earlier.

Wolves have won only once in eight Premier League games this season and Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at fellow strugglers West Ham left them third-bottom of the table.

The club spent £100m on new signings this summer as Lage looked to mould a team in his image, but the Portuguese has been unable to transform his side’s fortunes and his 15-month tenure is now over.

Wolves chairman, Jeff Shi, who described .Bruno as an excellent coach, a hardworking, dedicated manager, a warm, wise and honest man, revealed that letting him go was a difficult decision and he would be greatly missed.
