The Chairman, Life In My City Art Festival LIMCAF, Kalu U. Kalu has commended young artists for their persistence, dedication, and creativity towards their deep interpretation of arts through their remarkable artworks, despite the numerous challenges bedeviling the nation.
Kalu, represented by an executive member, board of trustees for LIMCAF, Lauretta Aniagolu during the opening of Enugu state Regional Art Exhibition at Alliance Francaise, Enugu with the theme Paradox of Muted Echoes expressed optimism that LIMCAF will turn out to become one of the most celebrated art festivals in Africa.
In her remark, the retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, Justice Chinwe Iyizoba, while thanking the members of LIMCAF for the rare opportunity given to the people of Enugu state to witness a live art exhibition, applauded them for providing the avenue for young artists to publicly showcase their unique and artistic talent.
Speaking during the occasion, the Art Director, LIMCAF, Ayo Adewunmi, expressed confidence that Enugu State would become a notable national and international tourism center for visual art.
Urban Radio Correspondent, Chioma Onwuasomba, who was present at the event, said the grand finale of the 15th edition of the art exhibition will hold between 22-29 October 2022, while the award night is scheduled to hold on October 29 at International Conference Centre, Institute of Management and Technology, IMT Enugu State.
