The Director General of the Peter Mbah Support Group, Reuben Onyishi, has criticized the attitude of politicians in Enugu state, who decamp to opposition parties when they lose elections, stating that politics should be engaged in the spirit of sportsmanship.
Onyishi, who spoke as a guest yesterday on the Urban Radio political program The Parliament, revealed that the credibility and capacity of candidates would be a major consideration in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Enugu state.
Speaking on the prospects of opposition parties in the campaign process and elections, George Ndubueze, the spokesman for the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, who also featured as a guest on the program, warned detractors to desist from making statements that suggest the Labour Party has no structure.
Eby from Enugu, who called in during the program, urged voters in the state, to focus on the pedigree and capability of the candidates, and not lose sleep over irrelevancies.
