The embattled Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Enugu State APC, Ugochukwu Agballah has said he would not succumb to unnecessary distractions from Abuja politicians whom he described as crisis merchants.
It would be recalled that the party chieftains led by former President of the Senate, Ken Nnamani met with the National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu in Abuja where they demanded the dissolution of the state exco and the setting up of a caretaker committee to pilot the affairs of the party in the state.
Agballah in his response said the party chieftains are not even known at the Wards levels, challenging them to present evidence of their attendance in any meeting of their wards and local government meetings since October 2021 when he emerged as the State Chairman.
He further accused the People’s Democratic Party PDP of being behind the crisis claiming that, their action is a panic measure because for the first time APC is mounting a serious challenge to their monopoly in Enugu State.
