SUPER FALCONS DEFEAT TANZANIA2-1 IN WAFCON WARM-UP

Nigeria’s Super Falcons concluded their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-1 victory over Tanzania in an international friendly on Thursday.

Captain RASHEEDAT AJIBADE put the 10-time African champions ahead in the first half before Tanzania equalised prior to the break.

ESTHER OKORONKWO scored the winning goal late in the match to seal victory for Nigeria in their final warm-up game ahead of the continental tournament.

The victory provides the Super Falcons with added confidence as they begin their campaign for a record 11th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco.
