SAND EAGLES SUFFER SECONDCONSECUTIVE 6-4 DEFEAT TOSENEGAL

Nigeria’s Sand Eagles have suffered a second successive 6-4 loss to Senegal in a beach soccer friendly played at the Murtala Muhammed Square Beach Soccer Pitch in Kaduna today.

The defeat came after Senegal recorded another 6-4 victory over Nigeria in the first friendly between the teams at the same venue last Saturday.

The two friendly encounters are part of Nigeria’s preparations for the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, BS-AFCON, qualifying tie against Ghana later this month.

Nigeria will welcome Ghana for the first leg of the qualifying tie in Kaduna on Saturday, October 10, before travelling to Accra for the return leg on Saturday, October 17, with the winner of the two-legged contest securing qualification for the 2026 BS-AFCON.
