President Bola Tinubu has restated his administration’s dedication to the education and rehabilitation of the rescued Chibok girls, by approving 1.85 billion Naira to fund their education and welfare support until 2027.
This was disclosed yesterday by the minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, stating that the government has so far committed 1.85 billion Naira to complete the Chibok Girls Intervention Programme, covering tuition fees, accommodation, vocational training, psycho-social care, medical support, and parental assistance.
Alausa stressed that the government’s assistance to the Chibok girls represents both a financial and moral responsibility, adding that President Tinubu has demonstrated true statesmanship by prioritising their education above partisan politics.
