PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS FAYOSE AND  25 OTHERS INTO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

President BOLA TINUBU has appointed former Ekiti State Governor, AYODELE FAYOSE, as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

A statement issued on Monday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, BAYO ONANUGA, revealed that the President also approved the appointment of 25 others into the boards and management of 10 Federal Government agencies and commissions.

As Chairman of the REA Board, FAYOSE will serve alongside AHMADU ABUBAKAR and ILYASU MAKINTA, who were appointed as members and non-executive directors,  the agency’s Director-General, ABBA ABUBAKAR ALIYU, and three previously appointed executive directors.

President TINUBU also made eight appointments into the Wages Commission with Major General BINDAWA appointed Chairman, former member of the House of Representatives, OLAJUMOKE OKOYA-THOMAS, was named Secretary of the Commission, while other appointees include OGBOLE LILIAN, OLADELE OLATUBOSUN and YAKUBU BARDE as commissioners representing Benue, Oyo and Kaduna States among others.

The President also appointed ABUH MOHAMMED as Director-General of the National Population Commission, AKINOLA ODEYEMI as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET), and ANTHONY GODWIN as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission.

In addition, President TINUBU constituted the board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, with ABDULLAHI SAIDU appointed as Chairman, while members of the board are MOHAMMED ASMAU, MOHAMMED ALIYU MAKAMA, SULEIMAN GIDADO, among others
