OHANAEZE NDI IGBO UNVIELS PLANS FOR JAN 10TH ELECTION

The Apex Igbo sociocultural organization,  Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has expressed its readiness for the January 10, 2025, election to determine its next executives, saying the date for the election remains sacrosanct.

 Addressing newsmen yesterday at the Ohanaeze headquarters in Enugu state, the Ohanaeze electoral committee led by its chairman, EJIOFOR ONYIA, revealed that the committee has been saddled with the responsibility of conducting elections at the national, state, and local government levels, while also outlining the processes involved in the election.

Although he did  not disclose the full list of aspirants, ONYIA confirmed that the position of President General has been zoned to Rivers State, adding that two prominent individuals from Rivers State had picked nomination forms for the position of President General.

He further, appealing to Ndi igbo in all states to elect individuals of integrity at all levels to ensure Ohanaeze remains a credible representative of Igbo interests. 

Urban radio correspondent, IFEOMA NWABUFOH reports that the election will take place at the organization’s headquarters in Enugu.
