Nigerian Gospel singers, Yinka Alaseyori, Esther Igbekele, and other colleagues paid tribute to late gospel minister, Olayemi Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, who died on October 14, 2026, after reportedly slumping in Ibadan.
The Night of Tributes, held in Ibadan yesterday, was emotional, with artistes dressed in an all-white ensemble in line with the event’s dress code, taking turns on stage to honour their late colleague with songs and words of tribute.
Alaseyori was overcome with emotion as she performed ‘Ase Ti Jade’, a song she recorded with Toluwanisings early in their gospel music careers.
Additionally, the wife of the late gospel singer, who broke down in tears while paying tribute to her husband, stated that she would forever miss her late husband and pleaded with him not to forget her and their young children.
The tribute night, themed “Toluwanisings Lives On,” was organised to celebrate the life, ministry, and impact of the 34 year old late gospel singer, known for his energetic praise style and popular songs including, “A Very Big God” and “Eleda.”
