The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the killing of several terrorists and the disruption of a planned attack in parts of Niger State following a series of intelligence-driven military operations.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja by the spokesperson of the Air Force, Air Commodore EHIMEN EJODAME, detailing the operations carried out by the Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma Sector 1.

EJODAME, said the coordinated air operations were conducted between May 20th and 23rd across Rafi and Mariga Local Government areas of the state, targeting suspected terrorist hideouts and movement routes.

He noted that the Air Component, which acted on the intelligence, and  in collaboration with the Nigerian Army Space Command Regiment, launched precision air interdiction strikes on the identified locations, eliminating the fighters and destroyed their ability to continue movement or retreat from the area.

According to the NAF spokesperson, the intervention helped repel the attackers and restored operational advantage to security forces operating in the area.
