LALIGA PRESIDENT CALLS FOR RESIGNATION OF  FIFA BOSS, INFANTINO

LaLiga President, JAVIER TEBAS, has called on FIFA President GIANNI INFANTINO to resign following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup..

TEBAS criticized FIFA’s handling of the tournament, particularly the introduction of hydration breaks and the musical performance during the final.

He also cited the involvement of the United States government in the FOLARIN BALOGUN decision, as an example of what he described as INFANTINO’S poor leadership of world football, insisting that the FIFA president should step down.

Recall that President DONALD TRUMP had urged INFANTINO to review the decision after BALOGUN was shown a red card, with the suspension later overturned following a review.

GIANNI INFANTINO and FIFA faced criticism throughout the tournament, particularly over changes made to the traditional organization of the competition, a developmentwhich also prompted UEFA President ALEKSANDER CEFERIN to boycott the final in New York.
