The Governor of Imo State, HOPE UZODINMA, has sacked  the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, C. O. C. AKAOLISA, with immediate effect.

In  a press statement by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, DECLAN EMELUMBA, the erstwhile commissioner has been directed to hand over all the government’s property in his care to the State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice immediately.

The sacked attorney general was one of the kitchen cabinet members of the present administration and has occupied the position since the first tenure of UZODINMA’Sadministration.

His sack comes a few weeks after the newly appointed chief justice of the state, THEOPHILUS NZEUKWU was removed following recommendations of the Nigeria Judicial Council that faulted the process of his emergence.
