HOODLUMS BURN DOWN HIGH COURT IN EBONYI STATE.

Suspected political thugs have set ablaze a state High Court in Owutu Edda community in Ebonyi State barely 24 hours after the conclusion of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

The Registrar of the court Oluchi Uduma who spoke to journalists said that the hoodlums invaded the court in the early hours of yesterday chanting war songs, and set ablaze the building, noted that they had earlier, sometimes ago, attempted to burn down the state High Court, but were prevented by security agencies.

Uduma further noted that the court building and other valuable properties as well as documents were burnt.

The Chairman of Afikpo South Local Government Area Chima Ekuma Nkama who confirmed the incident said that the court was burnt beyond repair.
