FORMER SSS DIRECTOR-GENERAL ALBERT HORSFALL PASSES AWAY

A former Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS) and pioneer Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), ALBERT HORSFALL, has passed away .

His death was announced today in a statement signed by his son, DONALD HORSFALL.

The family described ALBERT as a respected elder statesman and one of the founding fathers of Rivers State, saying he passed away peacefully after dedicating his life to public service, family, community and Nigeria.

DONALD said the family would take solace in the remarkable life his father lived and his lasting contributions, noting that his memory would remain an inspiration to those who benefited from his knowledge, experience and compassion.

The family said arrangements for his funeral would be made public in due course.
