EDISON EHIE DENIES BURNING RIVERS ASSEMBLY COMPLEX

EDISON EHIE, the Chief of Staff to suspended Rivers state Governor, SIMINALAYI FUBARA, has denied allegations that he was involved in the burning of the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex on October 29, 2023.

Recall that former Rivers State Head of Service, GEORGE NWAEKE, had alleged that FUBARA and EHIE masterminded the burning of the Assembly Complex.

 However, EHIE, during an interview, said he had no hands in the activities of arsonists at thestate assembly complex in 2023, but accused NWAEKE of yielding to political enemies “to satisfy his hunger for emergency riches”.

 EHIE, also claimed that the Speaker of the Assembly, MARTINS AMAEWHULE, should be questioned about the fire, alleging that the fire started on an evening shortly after security officials allowed the speaker’s convoy into the complex.

 He noted that he has instructed his lawyers to initiate a criminal libel suit against NWAEKEfor his false claims.
