BAYERN MUNICH STRIKER, HARRY KANE WINS 2026 MEN’S BALLON D’OR AWARD.

Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane has won the 2026 men’s Ballon d’Or, claiming football’s most prestigious individual award at the ceremony held last night in London.

The England captain has become the first Englishman to win the award since Michael Owen in 2001.

Other winners at the 70th edition of the Ballon d’Or awards include; Spain midfielder, Alexia Putellas who won the Women’s Ballon d’Or for a record-equalling third time, Spain’s head coach, Luis De La Fuentes won the men’s coach of the year award, while Spain and Barcelona winger, Lamine Yamal won his third consecutive Best Young Player of the Year award.

Consequently, Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint Germain, PSG was crowned best men’s club of the 2026 Ballon d’or; Spain and Athletic Bilbao’s goalkeeper, Unai Simon was crowned Men’s Best Goalkeeper of the Year, while Barcelona’s Tomas Coll won the Women’s Best Goalkeeper award.

Also, England and Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka won the Socrates award, which honours humanitarian work and social initiatives off the pitch.
