BALLON D’OR AWARD CEREMONY TO HOLD IN PARIS ON SEPTEMBER 22ND

The organisers of Ballon d’Or award has announced that the award ceremony will take place on September 22nd and the number of awards for women and men will be equal for the first time.

This was announced yesterday by UEFA, revealing that awards for best women’s goalkeeper, best young women’s player and the top women’s scorer in a club or national team have been added to the list this year for the ceremony at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.

The announcement indicates that there will be six awards each for male and female players, alongside the Socrates Award, an additional honor recognizing efforts that promote solidarity, open to both men and women.

 The nominees for the Ballon d’Or award will be announced in early August.
