The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has criticized Governor Seyi Makinde’s decision to spend a total of N63.5 billion on renovation of the Government House, describing it as a waste of resources.

APC, in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary in the state, Wasiu Sadare, berated Makinde for allegedly treating the people of the state with utter disdain and disrespect, and further advised him to rescind his decision.

The party noted that the immediate past governor, the late Abiola Ajimobi, had earlier renovated the edifice before leaving office in 2019, wondering why governor Makinde would spend public funds on white elephant projects and misplaced priorities.
