The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving a safer, peaceful, and crime-free state with the establishment of the special security operation “OPERATION UDO-GA-ACHI” and the new vigilante architecture, named AGUNECHEMBA, recently unveiled by the state Governor CHUKWUMA SOLUDO.
Anambra State Commissioner for Information, LAW MEFOR, stated this yesterday on the Urban Radio flagship programme, THE PARLIAMENT, reiterating the objective of the Anambra Homeland Security Law 2025, which is to assist and complement federal security forces in ensuring the security of lives and properties in the state.
MEFOR, while highlighting the success of the security outfit launch, pointed out the recent investments made by the government to achieve this feat and further explained the roles of the two newly launched outfits.
Similarly, a Development Scientist and Public Affairs Analyst, CHIGOZIE ANARADO, who also featured during the programme, commended the government of Governor SOLUDO while criticizing the timing of the development.
In a significant effort to tackle the security challenges facing the state, Governor SOLUDO unveiled the Anambra Homeland Security Law 2025 and launched a special security operation, stating that the law provides a framework for community or citizen ownership and participation in sustainable security and social re-engineering.
