ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND ARRESTS 16-YEAR-OLD BOY IN CONNECTION WITH HOTEL ROBBERY.

Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have arrested a 16-year-old boy following an alleged armed robbery at a hotel in Awka North Local Government Area of the state.

The suspect, identified as UDOCHUKWU NWANKWO, was apprehended by police operatives attached to the B Division, Amansea, during a security patrol in the area yesterday.

Following the arrest, the police also recovered a shiny metallic lighter designed to look like a pistol, which the suspect allegedly used to threaten a hotel guest and take her mobile phone and other valuables. 

The state Police Public Relations Officer, TOCHUKWU IKENGA,  in a statement said preliminary investigations into the incident are currently ongoing
