The Anambra State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association,  has called off the indefinite strike it embarked upon to protest the kidnap of STEPHEN EZEH, an Ihiala based medical doctor.

The association in a statement issued yesterday, announced that its members have returned to duty, saying the decision followed EZEH’s release on Saturday.

It further appealed to Governor Chukwuma Soludo to declare a state of emergency on security in Anambra, noting that the growing insecurity, particularly kidnapping, was crippling the economy and healthcare delivery in the State.

The association also directed its members to resume clinical services to the public at their various establishments while appreciating everyone who contributed towards securing the release of EZEH.
